Dr. Matthew Harb is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon practicing in Washington D.C. In this video, we will show you the process of removing a cast from a broken ankle that has fully healed. The first step is to gather the necessary supplies, including a cast saw, scissors, and bandages. Next, the doctor will carefully cut through the cast using the saw, making sure to avoid the skin underneath. Once the cast is removed, the doctor will carefully inspect the ankle to make sure it has fully healed and there are no lingering issues. Finally, the doctor will wrap the ankle in bandages to provide support and stability. The entire process is quick and painless, and the patient will be able to walk on their healed ankle in no time.
