Heroic words of Russian politician spark APPLAUSE as he’s jailed for slamming war

A Russian opposition politician was applauded for denouncing the war in Ukraine before being jailed.

Ilya Yashin, 39, was convicted of spreading “fake information” by highlighting the Russian army’s abuses in the Ukrainian city of Bucha.

Yashin laughed he was sentenced in a Moscow court under draconian laws introduced to protect Vladimir Putin from criticism over the war.

Addressing supporters before he was led away, he predicted the Russian tyrant would be toppled long before his release date.
