US journalist Grant Wahl dies while covering World Cup

The U.S. State Department says it is in "close communication" with the family of Grant Wahl, after the sports journalist died while covering the World Cup in Qatar.

A witness told CNN that Wahl "collapsed" in the press area while covering Friday's Argentina-Netherlands match.

Qatar world cup organizers say Wahl received "immediate medical treatment on site" and was later transferred to a hospital.
