Belial, a pagan demon-god is mentioned a few times in the Bible.

Notably, the phrase 'sons of Belial' was an ancient slur for 'good for nothings'.

In the Book of Enoch, it was written that a certain fallen angel taught mankind how to mine and to forge metals. It is very possible this angel fathered Belial with a mortal woman and this union created a Nephilim (evil spirit) known as Belial.

Belial is often depicted as a blacksmith, holding an iron hammer.

To Greeks and Romans, he was called Hephaestus and Vulcan.
To Nordic tribes, he was Thor.

He is not the same demonic entity as Baal-Zebub, or Baal-Peor.
