A Stanford study is finding that, as a result of the stress from all the pandemic nonsense, kids’ brains are turning even more to mush than they usually do. Teen depression and suicidal ideation are on the rise, and according to this Stanford study, brain structures in kids who suffered through the lockdowns are actually different from those of children before the pandemic. There’s a thing called “brain age," which is often accelerated in kids who suffer through violence, neglect, family dysfunction, or a combination of multiple factors…and guess what? You can add pandemic lockdowns to that list of possible reasons. In short, having your world turned upside down causes your brain a kind of rapid-onset aging, and not in a good way.
