Lennon played the rhthym guitar on this song. I'm pretty sure it was on his Epiphone Casino. I tried it with my Stratocaster too but it didn't sound right. He most likely plugged his guitar into Paul's 1964 Blonde Fender Bassman amp, with no pedals
I'm lucky that I get to borrow a real 1963 Blonde Fender Bassman amp head for this cover. This is plugged into my own 1965 Fender Bassman cab with original Oxford 12\" speakers
