L. Torro - Guru Guru
'I want to make people throw their shoes and underpants in the air out of sheer delight, make them totally lose their inhibitions', Guru Guru band leader Mani Neumeier announced in an interview with the music magazine, SOUNDS, marking the release of the studio album, Tango Fango, in summer 1976. 'It would be perfect if we could really make them freak out. I used to want to be a revolutionary or whatever, but today all I want to be is a good entertainer.' An aim which Neumeier achieved impressively on Tango Fango, pleasing fans and media alike: the album sales soared, and the magazine, MUSIKEXPRESS, declared Tango Fango 'one of the best German records ever'.
Guru Guru is one of the essential german rock bands feat. Mani Neumeier. This is the legendary album, Tango Fango, remastered by Eroc. In a new Digipack format, this edition includes liner notes.
