Yarrow Plant - is most frequently used as a bug repellent in a tincture form, extracted in alcohol. Used as an after bite, anti-inflammatory. Fresh leaves can be made into a poultice to pack open wounds to aid in stopping blood and healing. Plant can also be dried, turned to powder for teas, powder under the tongue can aid in a toothaches. Can also be taken with a drink to help detoxify the body.
The infused oil is also a useful treatment for wounds, inflamed muscles, and bruises, it's an anti-inflammatory. Can also help with burns, rashes, bruises and relieve pain.
The Yarrow Plant is also used for fever, common cold, hay fever, absence of menstruation, dysentery, diarrhea, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal (GI) tract discomfort, and to induce sweating. Humm, Who knew this plant was so incredible!
