Group storms North East for Tinubu-Shettima.

A political group under the banner: Tinubu National Alliance (TNA), at the weekend, stormed Gombe State to inaugurate its zonal and states’ executive committees in support of the presidential bid of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The states executive committees inaugurated at the custodian hotels included those of Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Taraba and Borno states.

The National Coordinator of TNA, Comrade Musa Shariff told the media that they wanted to convince the whole world that the eventual victory of Tinubu next year would not be by a mistake or miscalculations by other candidates but by sheer popularity of his candidacy.

Describing Tinubu as the most sellable candidate at the next election, he disclosed that the group would concentrate forces in the Northeast zone for a convincing win.

Justifying the TNA’s move to concentrate more in the zone, he said: “We are poised to win the zone for the APC Vice Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, as well as show all and sundry that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar, is a paper weight politician.”

He, however, urged the youths of voting age to ensure that they have their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), lamenting that over two million PVCs are yet to be collected at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, saying, “We will not only urge the voting populace to collect their PVCs but also convince them to vote our candidate.”

Meanwhile, the group also presented two books on Asiwaju Tinubu. The General Secretary, TNA, Valentine Ejeh, accompanied by other executive members presented the books: “Lifelong ambition – compelling reasons Asiwaju Tinubu is the best candidate in 2023 presidential election and a discourse on the political life of Asiwaju Tinubu to newsmen.”

Meanwhile, an APC female politician, Ambassador Finney David described Atiku as a disappointment and unfit for the presidency.

Finney told newsmen that Atiku had been tried for eight years as vice president but failed the entire zone.

According to her, Atiku’s alleged inability to attract federal infrastructures to the North-East made many in the region, especially APC to go for another person from the zone, hoping that Sen. Shettima would make the difference.

She said: “We so much believe in our principals; we all know that Tinubu is capable of taking Nigeria out of the present situation and that Shettima, now in the same office Atiku occupied for eight years without any developmental impact in the North-East, would certainly make difference.

“Atiku had been tried and tested but failed us for eight years, we want to test another person. Aside this, Atiku is not even a match for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,” she said. She, however, described the duo of Tinubu and Shettima as the best that could lead the country to the Promised Land.
