Derrick Crudup was an All-American high school quarterback from Delray Beach, Florida. After graduating from Boca Raton Community High School in 1983 he was recruited to play quarterback at the University of Florida, by current Washington Redskins Head Coach; Mike Shanahan. Crudup went on to transfer to the University of Oklahoma to play for Barry Switzer where he went on to win four Big Eight championships and the National Championship in 1985 with a win over Penn State in the Orange Bowl. After college, Crudup was again recruited by Coach Mike Shanahan and was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 1988.
