The Curse of Oak Island: Order of the Temple Tania Teixeira

The Order of Christ was originally a religious and military order, created on March 14, 1319, by the pontifical bull Ad ea ex quibus cultus augeatur of Pope John XXII, which thus fulfilled the requests of King Dom Dinis (Denis)of Portugal.
It received the name of Order of the Knights of Our Lord Jesus Christ or Order of the Militia of Our Lord Jesus Christ and was heir to the properties and privileges of the Order of the Temple.
In the photo below you can see the 1st Knights of the Order of Christ ( with the red cross on their white tunics) carrying the coffin of the Queen Elizabeth of Portugal, also known as Saint Elizabeth of Portugal who was wife of King Diniz.
Her resting place is the Convent of Saint Claire in Coimbra, Portugal.
