"Days of Our Lives" star John Aniston has passed away, daughter Jennifer Aniston announced Monday.
She said he died he died Friday. He was 89.
"You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew," Aniston wrote about her father in an Instagram post. "I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace - and without pain."
John Aniston, born in Greece and known for playing Victor Kiriakis on "Days of Our Lives" since 1985, leaves behind a wife and two adult children.
A cause of death was not immediately available.
