Deer Down 2022

Every day I've been hunting I've had an opportunity to get a doe.....can't do that though. Although they're everywhere I couldn't get a blessing from the state.

Finally a buck turned up today. Some people hunt for "sport", looking for big antlers and those "trophies". People like me couldn't care less. Hunting isn't a sport and we aren't sportsmen. It's about putting FOOD in the freezer to feed our families. With the way food prices are, all of this meat cost a little bit of time and a grand total of $5.00 and a rifle cartridge. You can't get this many pounds of meat in the store...much less this good of quality for 5 bucks. One pound of hamburger costs that much the last I knew.

I butchered it myself. I hear the going rate is $175 for a butcher now.
