The Grayzone's editor-in-chief Max Blumenthal attended a panel on the case of Julian Assange, sponsored by a think tank founded by a former CIA director. There, he brought up Sigurdur Thordarson – a man used as a key witness in the case against Assange, despite a confession by Thordarson in 2021, in which he admitted to having lied in the indictment against the WikiLeaks founder.
