What’s Concerning Us? – Michael Hichborn - Catholic charities withdraw from immigration coalition after investigative report reveals group supports abortion

The Main Points
1) It's hard to imagine the USCCB didn't know what they were getting into when they joined PIF. On their "Join the Coalition" page, it says, "With more than 500 member organizations working in the areas of immigrant rights, ... reproductive justice, and dozens of other issues, it’s our members that make PIF a powerhouse."
2) The main reason we discovered this coalition is because we were researching CCHD grantees. There are three CCHD grantees that are still listed as members of PIF (Casa San Jose, WeCount!, and COFI). If the USCCB thought it was bad enough that they had to leave, will they require those three grantees to leave, or will they continue providing them funding, despite this membership?
3) It's not good enough for the USCCB to just slink away. PIF sent out an email to its members about the statement on abortion well ahead of of its publication, which means the USCCB would have known about the statement before it was published. One of the principles the USCCB agreed to as a member of PIF was that it would not publicly disagree with policies, statements or positions taken by PIF. Even after withdrawing, the USCCB has NOT issued a public statement. The USCCB MUST publicly condemn PIF for its advocacy for the slaughter of innocent children. I guarantee if PIF had issued a statement that was deemed racist, the USCCB would have acted immediately to put distance between it and PIF.

- Police have arrested 25 suspected members or supporters of a "domestic terrorist organization" aiming to topple the German state. Justice Minister Marco Buschmann said the network was part of the "Reichsbürger scene."
- The Reichsbürger movement is made up of a number of small organizations and individuals, mainly in the states of Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Bavaria. They do not accept the legality of the Federal Republic of Germany or any of its government authorities.
- The movement argues that the German constitution prior to World War II was never properly nullified and that the formation of the former
