Luke 2:29-32 King James Version
29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;
32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY FRIENDS!!!

You know guys, I happen to think that Anna and Simeon are probably the most overlooked individuals in the Christmas story, and I think that needs to change. Here are two godly aged individuals, who waited expectantly, hopefully for the promise of the Messiah, and actually got to see Him! Bridgeway Commentary describes Simeon as the following: “Unlike most Jews, Simeon had the spiritual insight to understand the sort of person the Messiah would be. He acknowledged that Jesus was the promised Messiah, and that he would bring glory to Israel and salvation to the Gentiles (Luke 2:25-32).” Even faithful Anna, saw this truth too, and couldn't help but praise God for having seen the Messiah as well.

I think this is why I was so incredibly challenged as well as encouraged by the questions from this morning's devotional, because I needed to remember and be reminded of elderly believers in my life, who have shown me God's faithfulness in their lives. Please read these questions I'm about to share very carefully, and I pray that God will challenge you through them too.

What lessons have you learned from elderly believers about God's
faithfulness?

How does their hopefulness inspire you?

What I'd like to do right now, is share some things that God showed me from this passage of scripture, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that it encourages you to see that no matter what age you are, that not only are you still valuable to God, but that you should never stop waiting on Him. Come join me in this vlog, and learn what it means to wait on God with great expectation! 😊

So, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I pray that you will take the example of both Anna and Simeon and see how God used them to be His messengers, delivering the truth of the Messiah, to everyone that would listen, and boldly proclaim the name of Jesus. I also I pray that you will choose to be godly influences on the younger generation, so that they can learn of God's faithfulness through you. Remember that you're never too old, too young, or too anything to stop waiting on God, and you can do so with great expectation!

UNTIL WEDNESDAY EVERYONE:

HAVE A TRANQUIL AND SWEET EVENING IN CHRIST JESUS!!!
