The Witcher: Blood Origin - (MOST) Everything You Need to Know - First Victim of Fan Backlash?

A brief background on the upcoming prequel The Witcher: Blood Origin. Releasing on Christmas Day, the show is set to chronicle some events 1200 years before The Witcher show on Netflix. These important historical events will be the Conjunction of the Spheres and the creation of the first proto-witcher, both occurring during the Golden Era of the Elves, before their world was overrun by monsters and men. That all sounds well and good, but will anyone care at this point? Interest in the show was probably fairly low to begin with, but now that Henry Cavill is leaving The Witcher due to showrunner Lauren Hissrich's and her writer's dislike of and disrespectful approach to the source material this show is likely to bear the brunt of the fan backlash. Oh well, it could make it a pretty fun hatewatch!
