What is Oil Drill

In the movies, as soon as drillers strike an underground oil deposit, the black gold bubbles to the surface naturally.
Texas tea! that happens when underground pressure is sufficient to push oil of the well. But often, energy companies must use artificial extraction methods, manipulating pressure to drive the petroleum where they wanted to go.
The first approach is to place a pump jack over the well; and engine-powered lever pushes a plunger-like rod up and down in the well hole.
On the upstroke, the plunger pushes air molecules out of the way, creating a lower-pressure zone that draws the well up. In some cases, oil workers may drill a secondary well near the producing well.
Into this hole they may inject water that presses into rock fissures to sweep oil into and up the primary well.
Or they may inject high-pressure steam, whose expansion likewise pushes the oil, and whose heat thins the oil so it flows more readily.
