Ukraine War update for October 27, 2022

Belarus direction

The Ukrainian command is waiting for a possible offensive of the RF Armed Forces from Belarus. In the village of Derevnaya, Minsk region, a citizen of the Republic of Belarus passes to Ukraine data on the movement of military personnel of the Union State.

The Volyn sector on the Ukrainian side has been reinforced by several battalions trained at the 184th training center in Starychi. In the vicinity of Lukov, a command post of the company of the 1st radio engineering brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was organized.

Several reconnaissance groups operate in the Kiev sector in the Rudnya-Ilyinetskaya area and near Kriva Gora.

In the Chernigov sector, in the vicinity of Bleshni and Mkhov, several battalions of territorial defense were deployed. In the Desna training center, reconnaissance groups are being trained under the leadership of English mercenaries.

In the past two weeks, Russia transferred a large military group to Belarus, with tanks, armored vehicles, grad systems and artillery. Ukraine is reacting to this and now is focusing on strengthens its border defense with Belarus to avoid a repeat of February 24, 2021. The issue is why did Russia transferred so much resources to Belarus when these resources could be used on the Eastern Front. I believe these troop movement has other reasons.

Starobelsk direction

On the Kupyansky sector, the 14th Ombre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to storm Nikolaevka and Orlyanka, came under massive fire from Russian MLRS, suffered losses in manpower and equipment, and then retreated.

In the Svatovsky sector, 1 BTGr of the 71st Jaeger brigade attempted an offensive towards Chernopopovka, however, having lost several tanks and combat vehicles, they retreated to their original positions.

In the Limansky section of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the forces of the 25th brigade tried to storm the positions of the RF Armed Forces near Torsky, but failed.

The enemy command plans to conduct a simultaneous offensive from the northeastern environs of Terny and east of Nevsky. At the same time, Ukrainian forces are planning to reach the southern outskirts of Kremennaya.

In the Lisichansky section of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they tried to gain a foothold near Belgorovka, but the attack was repulsed and the AFU retreated to Grigorovka.

These attacks are attempts to stop the Russian Forces on advancing to the River Zherebets river. If the Russian forces are able to secure the river banks and push the AFU it would make it a secure location to repulse attacks in the future. The main issue of the Russian Forces is the lack of manpower to advance and defend at the same time. Without having extra soldiers attempting deep or prolonged advances would be fruitless. Russian is focusing on advancing on micro distances without sacrificing manpower.

Soledar direction:

The situation has not changed in this sector of the front, positional battles continue on the outskirts of Bakhmut (Artemovsk), Soledar and Opytnogo.

.Donetsk direction:

Ukrainian formations once again shelled the settlements of the Donetsk agglomeration, including Donetsk, Makeevka, Yasinovataya and Kashtanovka. In addition, a second blow was dealt to the fuel storage facility in Shakhtersk. RF forces are currently in control at Makeevka, N. Nevskoe and Novosadovoe Settlements. There are still fighting in Terny, Torskoye, assult group along with tank support are pushing the AFU back.

Southern Front: Nikolaev-Berislav direction

Over the past day, RF suffered a severe defeat in personnel and equipment to one of the battalions of the 128th separate mountain assault Transcarpathian brigade (military unit A1556, 128th brigade).
Near Davydov Brod, RF aircraft destroyed at least 47 AFU servicemen. There are reports of problems with the rotation of AFU personnel. It is noted, mainly, the arrival of territorial defense units, staffed by fresh mobilized citizens. Currently there are 126th OGVRBO, 228th MSP of the 90th Guard Division and Airborne Forces holding defenses in Kherson.

In the Mykolaiv sector, Ukrainian formations fired on the neighborhoods of Zeleny Guy, Ternovy Pod, Kiselevka and Petrovsky.

On the Andreevsky site, Ukrainian formations are transferring military equipment and personnel to the eastern bank of the Ingulets River.

In the Berislav sector, Ukrainian formations are concentrating forces along the line of contact. In the area of ​​​​Novaya Kamenka, a Ukrainian AN / TPQ-50 radar was deployed to conduct counter-battery combat.
