Ukraine War Update: Battle in Starobelsky direction as of October 23, 2022

In the Kupyansky sector, units of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are reconnaissance of the positions of Russian troops at the Liman 1st - Pershotravneve - Kislovka line.

The Ukrainian command is expecting an offensive by the RF Armed Forces from Gorobievka. On the southern outskirts of Sinkovka and in the area of ​​Petropavlovka, the 65th and 202nd battalions of the 103rd troop brigade took up defense.

In the Limansky sector, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to prepare for a large-scale attack on Kreminnaya from the Torskoye-Terny line. Additional units are being transferred to the Liman area.

Ukrainian assault groups are planning to attempt to capture the village of Nevskoye and then reach Krasnopopovka to provide a favorable foothold before launching an offensive.

In the Svatovsky sector, Ukrainian formations conducted reconnaissance in combat at the Raygorodok-Kovalevka line. The RF Armed Forces repulsed the attack: the enemy suffered losses and took the tanks to the Borovoy area due to a lack of fuel and lubricants.

In the Limansky sector, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to prepare for a large-scale attack on Kreminnaya from the Torskoye-Terny line.

During the attack on October 22, the enemy managed to approach Krasnopopovka, however, servicemen of the 20th Army of the Russian Armed Forces repelled the attack and regained almost all lost positions. The Ukrainian command plans to resume the assault in order to create a springboard for an attack on Kremennaya.
