Ukrainian War Rybar Map Update: Battle for Staobelsky as of 7pm October 17, 2022

In the Kupyansky sector, units of the 14th Ombre of the Armed Forces of Ukraine intend to launch another assault on the borders of the Russian Armed Forces on the Kislovka-Kotlyarovka line to reach Nizhnyaya Duvanka.

After the failure of previous attempts to take Russian positions head-on, the current offensive is planned from two sectors: from Petropavlovka and Berestovoye.

Ukrainian artillery fires at the front line of defense of the Russian Armed Forces on the line Liman 1st - Olshana - Pershotravneve - Kislovka - Kotlyarovka.

Due to the strikes of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the enemy is transferring air defense systems to the front line. An anti-aircraft missile system is located in the vicinity of Sinkovka, and a MANPADS crew is located in Petropavlovka.

In order to maintain the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they plan to transfer additional defense units from Malinovka to the Kupyansk region. Troop control in the area comes from the command post on the territory of the Kupyansky machine-building plant.

On in the Liman-Svatovsky sector, the command of the Liman tactical group continues to transfer troops for an offensive on the lines of Torskoye - Terny and Nadia - Makeevka.

On the front line on the Novosadovoe-Nevskoye line, a mobile reconnaissance group of the enemy is operating to "probe" the defense of the RF Armed Forces. To the west of Raygorodok, there is also a mangroup of the RER of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Mechanized units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and detachments of foreign mercenaries are arriving in Liman, which the Ukrainian command plans to send to the Torskoye area.

Russian artillery and aviation strike at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the entire line of contact. To compensate for the losses from the strikes of the RF Armed Forces, 55 employees of the National Guard of Ukraine arrived at the front line.
