Help me hunters! Can gut pile be used as deer attractant? Experiment with surprising results!

I would love your opinions on this gut pile attracting deer. Background: we killed and field dressed a doe 8ish hours before these videos begin.
There is a corn feeder about 100 yards away on the normal path for the deer.It was below freezing at night for these two or three days so there wasn't a foul odor. This is not their normal path and you'll see in the video they are coming straight to the gut pile. Both does and bucks come.

Was the doe in estrus? Are they just curious? Could gut piles be seriously considered as an attractant? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
