http://www.woodworkweb.com/woodwork-topics/furniture-making/436-making-a-pickers-display-box.html : This is third and final portion of making the Pickers Display Box. In this video we finish the outside of the box with natural finish, Minwax Tung Oil, then sealed the inside wood of the box with Shellac so that it would accept the special flocking glue we needed to apply. And finally we coated the inside of the box with flocking to give it a "rich" look. The flock makes the inside of the box appear as though it has a fabric lining.
Using Tung Oil on the box allows the box joint sides to appear much more boldly as the oil soaks into the end grain and makes it appear darker.
