The rollout of bivalent COVID-19 vaccines in Singapore is being brought forward by three days, amid a recent spike in cases. From Oct 14, those aged 50 and above can get the shot if their last jab was at least five months ago. Authorities say infections are rising due to the BA.2.10 Omicron subvariant, also known as XBB. It is taking over as the dominant strain in Singapore and is driving the spread. More than 11,700 new COVID-19 cases have been reported, along with two deaths.
