First Time Watching SHREK FOREVER AFTER - Can it Make Up for the 3rd Movie??? Commentary/Reaction

I was a die hard Shrek fan, until the third movie (that doesn't actually exist) almost ruined it for me. I never gave the fourth movie a chance because of it, but that changes TODAY! Can it be good enough to end the story properly and wipe away the bad memories?
