Tank crews of the Independent Tank Battalion on their T-80 tanks provided fire support to Sparta and Somali battalions while repelling an attempted counterattack by the enemy in the village of Vodyanoye. The tankers' accurate fire inflicted heavy casualties on the Ukrainian insurgents.
