US mulls labeling Wagner group ‘terrorists,’ attempting to foster influence in Africa

Russian private security company Wagner forces have been officially requested in several African countries, including Mali and the Central African Republic. These state’s officials have repeatedly cited the importance of the company’s help in conflict-affected regions. American authorities, however, are considering condemning the Wagner group as ‘terrorists,’ in an attempt to foster influence in the African region.
