Cryptocurrency News: Bitcoin jumped to its highest mark in more than two weeks on Wednesday as Ethereum showed its best price action since Nov. 10, while the stock market held in tightly mixed territory ahead of a speech from Fed Chairman Jerome Powell. Crypto lender BlockFi officially filed for bankruptcy on Monday after reporting "significant exposure to FTX."

Bitcoin gained another 2.5% Wednesday morning to briefly reclaim $17,000 following the latest economic data announcements. The world's largest cryptocurrency is holding above two-year lows as fears of a liquidity contagion stemming from the FTX bankruptcy continue to rattle the industry. Bitcoin traded above $21,000 at the beginning of the month, prior to the unraveling of FTX.

Ethereum is holding at two-week highs after rebounding more than 4.5% Wednesday morning to reclaim $1,250. The #2 crypto traded above $1,600 prior to the FTX crash.
