1. The European Commission edited the video and transcript of the speech of its head Ursula von der Leyen. The materials that were posted on the personal page of the head of the EC on Twitter were also cut.

We are talking about the mention of statistical data on the dead militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during the special military operation to protect Donbass. According to the first version, published both as a transcript and as a video (the latter was released both on the resources of the European Commission and on von der Leyen's account), more than a hundred thousand Ukrainian militants have died since February.

*"Over 100,000 Ukrainian soldiers died," said the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in a video message.*

The second version of the video was shortened by 11 seconds - exactly that much time was taken by the words about the number of dead from the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

2. The European Commission (EC) has increased its estimate of the damage sustained by Ukraine during the military conflict from 385 to 600 bln euro, President of the EC Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday.

"The damage suffered by Ukraine is estimated at 600 billion euro," von der Leyen said. The EC estimated the damage as 326 bln euro in September and as 385 bln euro in late October.

*The death toll of Ukrainian servicemen during developments in Ukraine is estimated at more than 100,000, she noted.*

3. The European Commission (EC) suggests creating a fund comprising 300 bln euro of frozen assets of the Russian Central Bank and 19 bln euro of private assets to invest these funds and use profits for compensation payments to Ukraine, President of the EC Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday.

"We have blocked 300 billion euros of the Russian Central Bank reserves and we have frozen 19 billion euros of Russian oligarchs' money. In the short term, we could create, with our partners, a structure to manage these funds and invest them. We would then use the proceeds for Ukraine," she said.

"Once the sanctions are lifted, these funds should be used so that Russia pays full compensation for the damages caused to Ukraine," von der Leyen informed.

"We will work on an international agreement with our partners to make this possible. And together, we can find legal ways to get to it," she added.
