According to Europol, a "super-cartel" that controlled one-third of Europe’s cocaine trade has been dismantled after a multinational operation. Raids were carried out in several European countries and the United Arab Emirates from November 8th to 19th. Spain’s Civil Guard said a total of 49 suspects were arrested during the course of the investigation, of which six are considered High-Value Targets (HVT). The drug lords considered as HVTs by Europol had come together to form this "super-cartel." The arrests were a culmination of investigations over two years in Spain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and the UAE, where more than 30 tons of cocaine were seized, the Civil Guard said.
