Minions: The Rise Of Gru is dominating in the box office and spotlighting Hollywood's failures. Families are flocking to see the film because Illumination put entertainment value first, over and above everything. Meanwhile, Disney is struggling, with their stock prices plummeting, culture war blues hurting their theme parks, and their own "family" film, Lightyear, bombing at the box office. And somehow in all of this, CEO Bob Chapek got a 3-year extension?? Why?
