Chinese propagandists censor footage of unmasked fans at soccer world cup 😷

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) apparently doesn't want Chinese citizens to see that life in most parts of the world has become much more normal when China stubbornly and brutally enforces a tyrannical zero COVID policy.

This video compares broadcast footage of the soccer world cup, which is currently taking place in Qatar. The footage has been taken from the match between South Korea and Ghana.

The right column shows the live footage broadcast live by FIFA and used by nearly all media who have bought the rights to broadcast the footage. The left column shows the footage broadcast by Chinese communist TV.

Every time the FIFA footage cuts to a close-up of supporters (who seem to be unmasked almost without exception), the Chinese state media cuts to a different video stream seconds before, restricting itself to only what happens on the field.

It is rather fitting that the article and video are from one of the (least bad IMO) Dutch mainstream media companies (NOS) who have done and are doing their fair share of (state) propaganda and one-sided reporting during the last 33 months.

For example, when there were large protests against the unnecessary and medically counter-effective 'COVID' measures of mass destruction, they either chose not to report on them at all, or they reported on the protests in negative terms. For example, they would report that the protests hadn't been announced to the authorities and/or they spoke about violence (which was implied to come from protesters).

They neglected to mention that:

1. the protests almost certainly WERE announced
2. the government requests but does not require informing them about upcoming protests, so there is no legal basis to prohibit even unannounced protests
3. the protesters behaved peacefully. All violence was initiated by the (riot) police.

NB: Many times the violence was (also) initiated by police in civilian clothing, called Romeo's. It's easy to determine that they are police and not civilians, because there is incontrovertible footage of them coming out of and going into (riot) police vans.

Protesters were always framed in negative terms: extreme right, anti-scientific, quacks, conspiracy thinkers ('wappies'), anti-vaxxers.

Some Dutch civilians took the side of the government/police with the argument that the police had clearly commanded the protesters to leave. When the protesters refused, this supposedly justified police violence. However, the police have no legal right to command civilians to leave public terrain.

When Nilz Melzer ― who is United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment ― condemned the police violence against peaceful civilians exercising their democratic rights as unjustified and disproportionate in an interview, he was attacked by the mainstream media.

The regular media never discussed the substance of Melzner's condemnation (whether the violence was or was not justified and proportionate). They only condemned Melzner for giving this interview to 'conspiracy' media (called 'De Andere Krant' if I recall correctly).

They are at this time running ads in support of freedom of the press, but apparently ONLY if said press tows the local narrative line. I guess it's about the freedom of the press to spread propaganda?

The Dutch mainstream media (especially the tax payer sponsored media) are quick to point out and condemn lies, propaganda and censorship by China and Russia, but not by western governments.
