The Walt Disney Company fired its CEO Bob Chapek rather un-ceremonially the other week and brought in former CEO Bob Igor to right the ship after Disney's disastrous earnings call last week. Or at least that's the story that has been in the official press releases. Now the Wall Street Journal would have us believe that Chapek was cooking the books and that's why he was sent out the door so quickly. Well there is another theory out there and it sure seems to make a lot of sense.
