Lava Spotted at Summit During Mauna Loa Eruption
The eruption of Mauna Loa, the largest active volcano on Earth, could be seen from Kailua Kona, Hawaii, in the early hours of Monday, November 28.
Footage recorded by @mattbzero shows the eruption through a spotting scope filmed from the eastern coast of the island of Hawaii.
In its latest update, USGS Volcanoes said lava flow could be seen in the summit area. The eruption started at 11:30 pm on Sunday night, the USGS said.
