European Chips Act: Finally comes to Europe

Earlier this week, EU member states agreed to a new €45 billion plan of action known as the European Chips Act to fund an expansion of the bloc's microprocessor production and wean the continent off its overdependence on US and Asian manufacturers.

According to the European Commission, the aim will be to strengthen Europe's competitiveness and resilience in semiconductor technologies and applications, and to contribute to both the digital and green transitions.'

Nonetheless, Mr. Schwab's special address speech about a physical brain for digitization located in Europe sounds rather creepy.
