What’s better to be a real estate agent, broker, lender, manager, or investor?

Good question.

It is better to be an investor. The other choices can be nice for someone that wants to earn income but if you want passive income nothing compares with being an investor. A good investor works with all of these people and organizes them to achieve a goal. These other team members can make good money on the transaction but none has as much upside as the investor.

For example, buying a large commercial asset for 100 million that pays 1 million commission to a broker, lender, that may look good. But it is much better to have that asset worth 100 million and hold onto it and grow the income for 10 years and have it now be worth 200 million. As an investor this can happen.

Being an investor offers the highest rewards.
