So funny, the local pump and well companies here in our region each told us this: "Sorry, that will NOT work..." They each wanted us to buy their $5,000 pump 230v around 30amp which we bought for $350 and it's a 110v and 15amp 2" pump... Always, always do your research, math or whatever you need to do before you go purchasing and see if it all will work! Don't fall victim to horrible people that make you want to 2nd guess yourself, all the while pretending to know what ONLY works and doesn't work. Long story short, they wanted us to pay $10k worth of labor and parts while we had everything ready to go for under $3k... Sorry, but I could imagine the people that tried to do this, we will NOT name names, will be known to us as a shyster company. Meaning, they will not be referred and recommended.
