You may be wondering what can I teach my dog other than sit? Sit is a pretty easy behavior to teach your dog or puppy, but we don't want sit to become the default for everything, especially if we have a bird dog! In this video we show how to teach a puppy they can be rewarded for other behaviors, like the "whoa" behavior. To teach your puppy the whoa behavior you first need to reward them for standing and not sitting. Once you puppy is consistently standing to earn a reward then we can introduce the cue "whoa". So if you are asking yourself, "what can I teach my dog other than sit?" The answer is you can teach your dog to whoa!
