'Tracking down my biological dad - to find he raped & murdered a child!'

Rutherford is a professor who spent half his life tracking down his biological father John McBeth Finlayson - only to find he was a child murderer. Rutherford was raised by adoptive parents in Toronto, where he had something of a neglectful or abusive childhood. After decades of dead ends he managed to track down his biological mother, who told him who his father was.
