Do anti-depressants aid our sanctification? #shorts

Anti-depressants are often times the first line of defense by most doctors for people who deal with overwhelming anxiety and depression. Is this helpful for Christians? The Bible has a lot to say about how Christians must deal with anxiety and depression and even includes promises of peace from God.

If God gives us spiritual solutions to anxiety, should Christians turn to highly addictive drugs like anti-depressants, which are also classified as tranquilizers, in order to aid their sanctification or should they trust in the promises of God and put their hope in him instead?
