Lifeboats set off from the French port-town of Dunkirk on Thursday (November 24) to lay a wreath at sea a year after the migrants died at sea when their small rubber dinghy deflated in the Channel while heading to Britain from France. In the evening, NGOs organized a march in Dunkirk in the memory of the victims, with demonstrators holding signs with the names of those who had lost their lives.
