Alexander Ponomarev, chairman of the village council of Strelkovo, Genichensky district, Kherson region (2010-2020), tells us about how Azov militants terrorized the district area and interfered in elections:

— …they instilled fear everywhere. I’m on my way to elections. Invited my friends over – asked them to stay for 5 days before the elections, and to attend meetings with voters.

In the evening, three days before the elections, they were stopped by the armed Azov men. They commanded everyone to lie down on the floor. Three men lay down, the fourth one began asking questions – they broke his rib with a butt of a rifle, forced him down on the ground… they let the burst out (from a rifle).
