Often times the things we communicate can be misunderstood. It is easy to sometimes become offended over misunderstandings. When this happens it is not a time for apology inherently, but rather clarification. There are some people however who take offense to everything someone says.

We need to hold these people accountable, teach them that they are responsible for their feelings, grow tougher skin, and approach disagreements from a place of humility that says "I don't know what is happening here but I know it is possible for me to misunderstand someone's thoughts reasoning, and actions. Therefore I need to start asking questions to gain a better understanding." By doing this we will be obeying the bible, better able to receive counseling, and be able to have healthy debate with others even if we ultimately disagree.
