Best Bible reasons not to believe in eternal torment

Garden of Eden. Adam & Eve were told eat of the tree of the knowledge of good & evil, and die, not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good & evil, and be tormented forever.

John 3:16 contrast eternal life, with perishing, not eternal life in paradise with eternal life being tortured.

Matthew 10:28 Jesus say fear God who can kill the body & soul in hell. Not torment the soul in hell.

Paul wrote the wages of sin is death, not eternal torment.

I dont think the bible teaches eternal torment. If you refuse eternal life you will perish. Lights out eventually not tormented for eternity.
