Republican Declares War On LGBTQ+ Kids

Louisiana Rep. Mike Johnson wants to make Florida's hateful "Don't Say Gay" policy federal law. He has introduced a bill to make discussing sexuality or gender in elementary classrooms illegal. They do this in the name of not sexualizing children, but in reality, is designed to make LGBTQ+ kids stay in the closet.

Let's talk about another. Now this bill has been introduced by the Republicans. This is not like the cuts to Social Security and Medicare that they want to push through on the back of the debt ceiling. this is something they probably couldn't join. they could not leverage it. I don't think they would Leverage. but it is a bill that understands that they're going to push they're going to vote on it. all the Republicans in the house if they take the house will vote for this. maybe there'll be ten that don't. and it will sit there and it will become an expectation of the Republican Party. and when Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis if they happen to win in 2024. and the Republicans control three branches of government. you are going to get there don't say gay Bill. and what is that bill it is a bill that has been brought in and introduced by Mike Johnson of Louisiana. and it is entitled The Stop Sexualization of Children Act. children of course are not sexualized. they they've been you know our public schools have been sexualizing children for so long. that's letting them know gay people might exist. it really is just about gay people existing. let's just go in with Mike Johnson's tweet first. NPR has a piece on this too. of course they sort of tiptoe through it. and it's like hmm it's hard to say like I mean contemplate for a moment like all the sexualization that's going on with the young children. like how does this manifest itself?
