The story of Alice's Restaurant Massacre began in 1965 when two friends, Arlo Guthrie and Richard Robbins, decided it would be a "friendly gesture" for them to haul Alice's trash to the city dump. Well here we are some 54 years later and Alice's Restaurant Massacre has become a Thanksgiving tradition for many.
