You've probably heard these generalizations about acoustic guitar strings: 80/20 strings are "bright" and "bass-y." Phosphor Bronze strings are "warm" and "darker." Hmm... Really?
While the tonal differences ARE obvious, the generalizations are misleading. For example, with their extra midrange punch, Phosphor Bronze strings can sound BRIGHTER than 80/20s on certain guitars.
