Spain thrashes Costa Rica 7-0

Over at Al Thumama stadium, spectators got to witness Spain thrash Costa Rica by seven goals to nil.
Six different players got the goals for the Spanish side, with the first three goals coming in the first half. Costa Rica couldn't manage a single attempt on goal, and had the ball for very little of the match.
The result meant that Spain has won its opening World Cup fixture for the first time in 16 years.
Spain also scored its 100th goal in the country's history at the tournament, while 18-year-old midfielder Gavi became the team's youngest ever goalscorer.
