Chicago Bears Injury news begins with an update on QB Justin Fields. Head coach Matt Eberflus said the Bears quarterback remains “day-to-day” at his press conference today. Flus added that today’s Bears practice will be a walkthrough due to playing several physical games lately. Eberflus did add that Fields will be listed as a limited participant and that we should know more about his playing status for Sunday against the Jets as the week goes on. Eberflus also announced that center Lucas Patrick is OUT for the season after having toe surgery. Patrick was signed to a 2-year deal to be the Bears starting center and he played all of 2 drives at center this season. Sam Mustipher will start at center for the rest of the season.

The Chicago Bears face the New York Jets on the road this week and while we don’t know if Justin Fields will start, we do know that Zach Wilson won’t start for the Jets. Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh announced today that he’s benching Wilson for Mike White. Wilson has been struggling mightily as of late and he did not take accountability for the Jets offensive struggles after putting up just 3 points last week. On the contrary, Justin Fields apologized to the entire Bears team after a 3-point loss to the Falcons despite putting up 24 points and averaging around 30 points per game over the past 5 weeks. The Bears have their franchise QB and the Jets do not.
