S03E16 Becker's Easy Eats: Easy Honey Pineapple Cake

How time flies! Now we have come to the end of Easy Eats Season 3. To celebrate this special occasion, I am making Honey Pineapple Cake. Usually referred to as Pineapple Upside Down Cake, I made a few tweaks - such as using honey instead of caramel sugar, and decorating with blueberries instead of the more traditional maraschino cherries. The result is just as delicious. I hope you get to try it at home too!

EASY HONEY PINEAPPLE CAKE

Ingredients:
5 – 6 slices of pineapple (tinned)
Blueberries or maraschino cherries for decoration
¼ cup honey
284g all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¼ cup granulated white sugar
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
115g softened butter
½ cup milk
½ cup juice from tinned pineapple

*recipe makes one 9-inch round cake
